Is love blind? .......Oh yes it is!! - Episode 6

His touch and the feel of his warm breath wakes Anjali…Her eyes are still half closed…..

She says assuming that she is at home “kuch dher aur sone dho na ma” 

He smiles at her innocent words and shifts closer to her trying to take in that pretty face into his eyes as much as possible....

In exactly 2 seconds......
”MAAAAAAAA” she screams as her eyes open wide…………”main kahan hoom??”. 

At this she sees Sid sitting next to her…..She pushes his hand away and jumps out of the table……She finds that her hair is all messed up and her dupatta is lying somewhere else…..she runs and picks it up….the dupatta is torn..[Actually when Sid lifts her up, he stamps on it accidently and it gets torn and falls at that place but Anjali misunderstands him] 

His words echo in her mind “ab yahan sirf hum dono hai….main tumme kuch bhi kar sakta hoom…. kuch bhi matlab kuch bhi!!!!”

She starts to tremble in fear and pounces on Sid “tumne mujhe…chee…” [Stops abruptly and closes her face…she starts crying]

He is first shocked at her outburst but starts laughing at this emotional drama……”ab yeh rona dhona bandh karo…..DDLJ ke Kajol ke thara drama karne ki koyi zaroorat nahi….tumme kuch nahi hua hai….bas beghosh hogayi thi”

She moves her hands from her face and looks at him in doubt……Anger still lurks in her face…..And tears fill up her eyes but she wipes her tears and confronts him…”Kya tum sach keh rahe ho” 

[He is relieved that she talked to him and is happy that her doubt is disappearing slowly]
He smiles and replies “haan….chaaho tho kasam lelo”…….She doesn’t seem to be convinced, but deep inside her mind, she knew that he is telling the truth…..That brings a slight smile on her face…..but hides it quickly and puts up a stern face…..”teek hai teek hai….”. 

A thought crops in her mind “shaayad itna bhi bura nahi hai”

She brushes away that thought immediately and moves away from him.....and starts to tie her hair just to show her indifference to him……The thought about her mom and dad brings tears again to her eyes…”What will happen when they find out that I am not at home…that I spent a night here…….with a guy?.....Oh god, how will I explain this to them?” [She ponders over the thought for a moment……while Sid is watching her silently and is in his own dream world]

Anjali takes a firm decision….“maine abhi tak unse kuch nahi chupaaya hai…par yeh main nahi keh sakthi…..waise bhi maine kuch galat nahi kiya hai…..haan yahi teek rahega”
[She takes a decision which is obviously a wrong one…..For the first time in life, she will regret a decision taken by her……]
She takes her phone and calls Aashu…..Aashu has just returned from her native and is retiring to bed for a quick nap…….
“Pick up…Pick up……for god’s sake pick the phone Aashu” she murmured to herself…….Sid was wondering what she was up to…..but he remained quiet till she finished the call….
Aashu is irritated hearing the phone ring that early but she picks it up after a few rings……Aashu: [sleepily] hello…..
Anjali: Hello Aashu…..it’s me….
Aashu: [she realizes that it is Anjali and is surprised to get her call at that time] ANJALI…..what happened? Is everything fine?
Anjali: Aashu, I will tell you everything in detail later….but just listen to me now….
Aashu: hmmm….tell me…
Anjali: ma call karegi…..she will ask if I am there….just tell her that I was at your place last night and that I left just now….
Aashu: [confused totally] Anjali…..tum kya keh rahi ho???mujhe kuch samaj nahi aa raha hai

Anjali: plzz babes…just do what I told u….I promise that I will tell you everything when we meet in college….
Aashu: ok fine….
Anjali: bye then….see you at college….
[She cuts the call and turn to Sid who is posing a confused look…a question is confusing his mind]
Anjali: Why are you looking at me like that?
Sid: tum apni mom aur dad se jhoot kyun bol rahe ho?
Anjali: [angry and irritated…stares at him] aur kya karoom….kaise kahoom ke main tere saat iss library mein bandh thi…..kya woh mujh pe yakeen karenge….tumaare galathi ke sazaa mujhe milegi….

Sid: Sorry…….sab mere galathi hai….isliye main tumaare mom dad se baat karoonga….unne samjaavunga….
Anjali: [still staring at him] koyi zaroorath nahi…..you have helped me a lot already…..I can’t handle more help from you!!! [Sarcasm spilling in every word] So just shut up and mind your own business!!!

[Sid feels guilty and becomes quiet…
he is angry and irritated too but chooses to remain calm…he can’t afford to shout back and anger her more!! But he hated himself for that…he was never like this…..No girl ever dared to talk to him like that…Sid couldn’t accept the fact that he was apologizing to a girl and she was shouting back instead of accepting his apology..And he could do nothing but just listen to her silently….His anger and frustration was on the verge of a explosion but the sight of Anjali, her 
voice cooled him down….] 

Anjali: [noticing his silence] how do we get out of here?
Sid: We have to wait till the office assistant comes and opens the library….we don’t have any other option….
Anjali: [glaring and accusing him again] just say that you didn’t leave any other option….
Sid: [irritated] phir wahi baat……maine sorry kahaa na….

Anjali: sorry kehne se kya hoga?The fact remains the same na…..and the fact it that I am trapped here with a guy I hate the most…

Sid: [chooses to remain silent][mind voice: HATE…..Girls die to be in my company….and here is one girl saying that she hates my company…… [Stops and tries to justify her] dude, what else do you expect from her especially after what you have done to her….I know I need to work hard to change her attitude towards me…[deep sigh]…hmmmm tough times ahead dude!!!]

Anjali: [she is trying to dial some number but her phone becomes dead…..]”Battery low” shit!!! Yeh bhi abhi hona tha!!!

[Sid holds out his phone to her but she ignores him totally…..He pulls back his hand and tries to digest this insult too]

[Both are silent and walk towards two far ends of the library hall….and wait for the door to open]

At Anjali’s home: Anjali’s mom goes to Anjali’s room to wake her up…..She finds her missing and runs to Anjali’s dad who is browsing the newspaper….

Mom: [tensed up] suniye…Anjali kamre me nahi hai…
Dad: [turns to a new page in the newspaper and sipping his coffee] itni subah kahaan ja sakthi hai…wahi kahi hogi……balcony ya bathroom mein hogi……jaakar dekho….
Mom: [still tensed] maine sab jagaa dekh liya….woh ghar mein nahi hai….
Dad: [looks out of the paper] nahi hai….matlab???
Mom: [irritated] nahi hai….matlab nahi hai!!!
Dad: [thinks for a moment and continues] woh Aashu ke ghar mein hogi….tum tension matth lo….
Mom: ek phone karke bathaa sakthi thi!!
Dad: tum phone karke pooch lo na… 
Mom: [after trying Anjali’s mobile] phone off karke rakkhi hai….iss ladki ko hamaare zara bhi parwa nahi…..hum yahaan uskeliye pareshan hai aur woh na jaane kahaan hai!! Aashu ke phone try karti hoom….
Dad: hmmm….
[She calls up Aashu and Aashu tells whatever Anjali told her….Anjali’s mom is relieved temporarily and waits for her daughter to come….]

College......
The peon comes and opens the door…..

He is shocked to see the duo coming out of the closed library…..

He starts questioning them “tum dono!!! Tum dono yahaan kaise???”. 

Anjali looks at Sid miserably….She wants to tell the truth but she walks away quietly….Sid is actually surprised at Anjali’s silence……He takes that as a positive sign and the first step towards their friendship!!!!

He turns to the confused peon and replies “galati se andar bas gaye bhaiya” after which he follows Anjali…..The peon is not yet out of shock ….he just stares at both of them….

Anjali is hurrying towards the parking area…..Sid catches up with her…..”Shall I drop you home?” 

She glares at him and replies “No….just leave me alone….”…..She walks away without waiting for Sid’s reaction….

Anjali drives away in her scooty while Sid remains stranded and keeps looking at her till she is in the vicinity…..

He smiles cheekily and tells to himself “You are very special to me dear and....I cannot leave you like that”
